Brussels, November 4, 2025 — India and Belgium held the third round of Foreign Office Consultations in Brussels today, reaffirming their commitment to deepening bilateral ties across strategic, economic, and cultural domains.
The Indian delegation was led by Foreign Secretary Mr. Vikram Misri, while the Belgian side was headed by Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Discussions covered a wide range of issues including trade and investment, climate action, digital cooperation, and multilateral engagement.
Both sides reviewed progress on existing partnerships and explored new avenues for collaboration in emerging technologies, renewable energy, and higher education. The consultations also addressed regional and global developments of mutual interest, underscoring the importance of shared democratic values and rule-based international order.
The meeting highlighted the growing convergence between India and Belgium on key global challenges and the potential for enhanced cooperation within the framework of the India-EU Strategic Partnership.
Officials from both countries expressed satisfaction with the outcomes and agreed to maintain momentum through regular dialogue and joint initiatives. The next round of consultations is expected to be held in New Delhi.
