India marked National Technology Day by recalling the historic Pokhran-II nuclear tests of May 11, 1998, which established the nation’s nuclear capability and reinforced its scientific and strategic strength.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other leaders paid tribute to the scientists, engineers, and defence personnel whose efforts made India self-reliant in critical technology domains.
The day also highlighted India’s progress in innovation, digital transformation, and indigenous defence technologies, aligning with the vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat.
National Technology Day serves as a reminder of India’s resilience, scientific excellence, and commitment to harnessing technology for national development and global leadership.
