The Jammu & Kashmir government has sanctioned ₹25.36 crore for honorarium payments to officials engaged in Census 2027 operations.
The Planning, Development & Monitoring Department issued the order on July 13, 2026, directing disbursement of funds by July 31, 2026.
Honorarium will cover enumerators, supervisors, charge officers, and district-level officials, with enumerators and supervisors receiving ₹9,000 each, and senior officials allotted between ₹20,000–₹25,000.
Funds have been released to Divisional Commissioners, Deputy Commissioners, and Municipal Commissioners of Jammu and Srinagar for distribution.
