Lucknow Super Giants defeated Chennai Super Kings by 7 wickets at the Ekana Stadium in Lucknow, securing a crucial win in their IPL 2026 campaign. Chasing a competitive target, LSG’s batting lineup delivered a composed performance, anchored by strong contributions from the top and middle order.
CSK, batting first, posted a fighting total with key partnerships, but LSG’s disciplined bowling restricted them from accelerating in the death overs. In response, LSG’s batsmen maintained steady momentum, capitalizing on loose deliveries and rotating the strike effectively to seal the chase with overs to spare.
The victory strengthens Lucknow Super Giants’ position in the points table, boosting their playoff hopes, while Chennai Super Kings face a setback in their campaign after failing to defend their total at Ekana Stadium.
