The National Testing Agency (NTA) has issued a safety advisory ahead of the NEET-UG re-examination scheduled for June 21, stressing strict adherence to exam-day protocols to ensure transparency and fairness. The advisory includes guidelines on entry procedures, prohibited items, and mandatory frisking to prevent irregularities.
In a bid to counter misinformation and provide seamless communication, the NTA has also begun sending WhatsApp updates to candidates regarding admit cards. This step is aimed at ensuring that students and parents receive timely, verified information directly from the agency.
Officials confirmed that admit cards will carry detailed instructions, including reporting time, exam centre address, and safety measures. The WhatsApp updates are part of a broader strategy to leverage technology for smooth conduct of the re-exam across 551 cities in India and 14 abroad.
The advisory reiterates the government’s commitment to conducting the re-exam in a fair, error-free manner, restoring confidence among lakhs of medical aspirants after earlier irregularities.
