The National Testing Agency (NTA) has confirmed that the results of the NEET UG re-examination will be declared by July 20, 2026. An official stated that despite the delay caused by the re-test, the academic session for medical courses will begin on time, ensuring no disruption to admissions. The re-exam was conducted on June 21 across 551 cities after irregularities were reported in the earlier session.
According to the NTA, evaluation work is already underway, and results will be published within the announced timeline. Officials emphasised that counselling and admission schedules will proceed as planned, with no impact on the commencement of the new academic year. The agency reiterated its commitment to transparency and fairness in the examination process.
The assurance comes as lakhs of students await clarity on their medical career pathways. The NTA has urged candidates to regularly check its official website for updates and has promised timely communication regarding counselling procedures once results are declared.
