The National Investigation Agency (NIA) today conducted searches at three locations in Srinagar and Shopian districts of Jammu & Kashmir in connection with ongoing terror-related investigations.
According to officials, the raids were carried out at residential premises and suspected hideouts linked to individuals associated with terror outfits and their sympathizers. The searches aimed to gather evidence related to terror funding, recruitment, and activities threatening national security.
During the operations, digital devices, incriminating documents, and other materials were seized for forensic examination. The NIA stated that these searches are part of its sustained crackdown on terror networks operating in the Valley.
The agency has intensified its actions in Jammu & Kashmir in recent months, targeting modules involved in cross-border smuggling of arms, narcotics, and funds meant to fuel terrorism.
Officials emphasized that the raids are crucial to dismantling networks aiding terror activities and to ensure peace and stability in the region.
