Prime Minister Narendra Modi held telephonic discussions with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Bahrain’s King Hamad Bin Isa Al Khalifa, and Jordan’s King Abdullah II to review the evolving situation in West Asia. The talks came amid heightened regional tensions following recent military strikes and retaliatory attacks in the Gulf.
During the conversations, PM Modi condemned the attacks on Saudi Arabia and Bahrain, describing them as violations of sovereignty and territorial integrity. He reaffirmed India’s support for peace and stability in the region and emphasized the importance of dialogue to de-escalate tensions.
The Prime Minister thanked Saudi Arabia for ensuring the well-being of the Indian community during these difficult times. Leaders agreed that the earliest restoration of peace and stability is of utmost importance, with India reiterating its commitment to constructive engagement with key West Asian partners.
Officials noted that these outreach efforts reflect India’s proactive diplomacy in safeguarding national interests and supporting regional stability amid the ongoing crisis.
