Prime Minister Narendra Modi today interacted with 20 children who have been conferred with the prestigious Rashtriya Bal Puraskar, coinciding with the observance of Veer Baal Diwas. The awardees, selected for their exceptional achievements in fields such as innovation, sports, arts, social service, and bravery, were felicitated for their contributions to society.
During the interaction, the Prime Minister lauded the young achievers for their courage, creativity, and determination, describing them as the torchbearers of India’s future. He encouraged them to continue pursuing excellence and to inspire others through their work and values.
PM Modi highlighted that the Rashtriya Bal Puraskar reflects the nation’s commitment to recognising the potential of its youth. He noted that the awardees embody the spirit of Veer Baal Diwas, which commemorates the martyrdom of the Sahibzades, the sons of Guru Gobind Singh, who sacrificed their lives for their faith and principles.
The Prime Minister urged the children to draw inspiration from the Sahibzades’ legacy of courage and resilience, and to channel their talents towards building a stronger and more inclusive India. He emphasised that their achievements are not only personal milestones but also contributions to the nation’s progress.
Officials said the awardees were selected from across the country after a rigorous process, ensuring representation from diverse backgrounds and disciplines. The interaction provided them an opportunity to share their experiences and aspirations directly with the Prime Minister.
The event underscored the government’s focus on nurturing young talent and instilling values of bravery, innovation, and service, in line with the vision of Viksit Bharat by 2047.
