Prime Minister Narendra Modi urged participants of the World Yogasana Championship to become ambassadors of the ‘Yoga 365’ campaign, highlighting yoga as a way of life beyond the International Day of Yoga. He said the initiative aims to inspire people to practice yoga daily, integrating it into routines for health, harmony, and holistic well-being.
Addressing athletes and delegates, Modi emphasized that yoga is not just a sport or exercise but a philosophy that connects body, mind, and spirit. He called on the championship’s participants to spread awareness globally, encouraging communities to embrace yoga as a sustainable lifestyle practice.
The Prime Minister noted that India’s leadership in promoting yoga has transformed it into a global movement, with Yogasana now recognized as a competitive discipline. He added that the ‘Yoga 365’ campaign reflects India’s vision of making yoga accessible and relevant throughout the year, not limited to symbolic observances.
