President Droupadi Murmu paid tribute to the brave security personnel who laid down their lives while defending the nation during the 2001 attack on Parliament, remembering their courage and supreme sacrifice. She recalled the extraordinary bravery displayed by the security forces in foiling the terrorist attack and protecting the sanctity of India’s democratic institutions.
In her message, the President said the nation remains eternally grateful to the martyrs who stood firm in the face of grave danger and ensured the safety of Parliament. She noted that their valour continues to inspire generations and strengthens India’s resolve to combat terrorism in all its forms.
President Murmu also extended her respects to the families of the fallen heroes, acknowledging their sacrifice and reaffirming the nation’s commitment to honouring the memory of those who gave their lives in the service of the country.
