Kashmir-origin student Anavi Kaul has been named among North Carolina’s Top Women Leaders 2026, earning recognition for her outstanding academic and leadership achievements. Currently pursuing Biomedical Engineering at Duke University, she has maintained a perfect 4.0 GPA and secured a place on the Dean’s List with Distinction.
Anavi serves as Co-President of the Duke Engineering Student Government, representing more than 1,400 undergraduates. She has also contributed to cutting-edge research at Musah Lab, focusing on kidney disease studies using chip-based models, and is a Pratt Research Fellow, Teaching Assistant, and Peer Success Leader.
Her inclusion in the prestigious list by Women We Admire highlights her role as a rising leader in academia and student governance. The recognition places her alongside senior professionals and industry leaders across North Carolina, underscoring the global impact of Indian-origin women in leadership.
