India has highlighted the importance of ensuring unhindered transit of energy and goods to Iran amid the current situation in West Asia. Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said that uninterrupted movement of essential commodities is vital for regional stability and economic security.
Addressing the media, Jaiswal emphasized that India continues to monitor developments in West Asia closely, given the region’s strategic significance for global energy supplies and trade routes. He noted that disruptions in transit could have wide-ranging implications for international markets and regional cooperation.
The spokesperson underlined that India’s position is guided by its commitment to safeguarding national interests while supporting peace and stability in the region. He added that India values its longstanding ties with Iran and recognizes the importance of maintaining smooth trade and energy flows.
