Bihar Deputy Chief Minister and Home Minister Samrat Choudhary today vowed decisive action against criminals, declaring that no offender will be spared under the new NDA government.
Assuming charge of the Home Ministry, Choudhary emphasized that Bihar will not serve as a shelter for crime and announced that the police have been given complete freedom to act against offenders.
“Criminals will have to leave Bihar. The police have full liberty to take action,” he stated, underscoring a zero-tolerance policy toward organized crime and unlawful activities.
This marks the first time in two decades that the Home Ministry has moved out of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s direct control, signaling a significant shift in the state’s governance structure.
Choudhary indicated that Bihar will adopt strong law-and-order measures similar to those implemented in Uttar Pradesh, including strict enforcement and action against illegal structures linked to crime.
Reaffirming the government’s commitment to good governance, he assured citizens that the NDA administration will strengthen law and order and ensure that “jungle raj” does not return to Bihar.
The announcement sets the tone for a tougher policing approach in the state, with the Home Ministry under BJP leadership promising swift and uncompromising action against criminal networks.
