Union Home Minister Amit Shah released a ‘charge sheet’ against the Trinamool Congress (TMC) government in West Bengal, accusing it of fostering infiltration and appeasement politics.
Addressing a press conference in Kolkata, Shah alleged that West Bengal has become the principal corridor for infiltration under TMC rule, undermining national security.
He claimed the state government obstructed border fencing projects by not providing land and accused TMC of creating a vote bank of infiltrators.
Shah emphasized that the upcoming Bengal Assembly polls are not just about the state but are crucial for the nation’s security.
The BJP leader promised stronger border security measures and purification of electoral rolls if voted to power, framing the election as decisive for India’s safety and sovereignty.
