Gurugram, November 5, 2025 — The third edition of the Maritime Information Sharing Workshop concluded today in Gurugram, bringing together regional stakeholders, naval representatives, and maritime security experts to strengthen collaborative frameworks for information exchange and operational coordination.
Organized under the aegis of the Information Fusion Centre – Indian Ocean Region (IFC-IOR), the workshop featured technical sessions, case studies, and strategic discussions aimed at enhancing maritime domain awareness and response capabilities across partner nations.
Delegates from over 20 countries participated in the event, sharing best practices and exploring interoperable solutions for real-time data sharing, threat assessment, and coordinated action against piracy, smuggling, and illegal fishing.
Senior officials from the Indian Navy and Ministry of Defence emphasized the importance of trust-based partnerships and technology-driven platforms to ensure safe and secure seas. The workshop also showcased advancements in satellite tracking, automated reporting systems, and regional alert mechanisms.
The event reaffirmed India’s commitment to fostering inclusive maritime cooperation and promoting a rules-based order in the Indo-Pacific region.
