Union Home Minister Amit Shah inaugurated the National Investigation Agency’s (NIA) Anti-Terror Conference in New Delhi today, underscoring India’s zero-tolerance approach to terrorism.
The two-day conference, organized by the NIA under the Ministry of Home Affairs, brings together senior police officers, central agencies, and counter-terror experts to strengthen coordination and strategies against terrorism.
Key focus areas include evidence collection from foreign jurisdictions, digital forensics, disrupting terror financing networks, addressing radicalisation, and building institutional capacities to tackle emerging threats.
In his address, Amit Shah emphasized that terrorism is the biggest threat to humanity and reiterated the government’s commitment to decisive action against terror networks. He highlighted the importance of a “Whole of Government” approach to counter-terrorism.
The conference also honored NIA officers for their contributions to national security and provided a platform for agencies to share operational experiences and future strategies.
The initiative reflects India’s broader efforts to strengthen its counter-terrorism framework and ensure preparedness against evolving threats.
