Srinagar, Jun 27: Counter Intelligence Kashmir (CIK) conducted raids across multiple districts of the Valley as part of an ongoing investigation under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA). The searches were carried out at several suspected hideouts linked to terror networks and overground workers.
Officials confirmed that the raids were connected to a case registered in 2023 at the Joint Interrogation Centre. The operation aimed to recover incriminating material and establish linkages with cross-border handlers. Teams searched locations in Srinagar, Ganderbal, Kupwara, and Anantnag, seizing documents and digital evidence.
Earlier this month, CIK had conducted similar raids across six districts, targeting Pakistan-sponsored networks using encrypted communication platforms. The latest searches are part of a sustained crackdown on sleeper cells, radicalisation, and terror financing in Jammu and Kashmir.
Authorities emphasized that these operations are crucial to safeguarding communities and dismantling organized networks. Investigations are ongoing, and officials indicated that arrests may follow based on the evidence collected during the raids.
