The Shri Amarnath Shrine Board has announced that advance registration for the annual Amarnath Yatra will commence on April 15, 2026. Pilgrims can register through designated bank branches across the country and online facilities provided by the Shrine Board.
The registration process requires submission of a compulsory health certificate issued by authorized doctors, along with valid identity proof. This measure ensures that only medically fit pilgrims undertake the challenging trek to the holy cave shrine located at 3,880 meters in the Himalayas.
The Yatra is scheduled to begin in late June and conclude in August, coinciding with the Raksha Bandhan festival. Thousands of devotees from across India and abroad are expected to participate in the pilgrimage, which holds immense spiritual significance.
Authorities have urged pilgrims to register early to avoid last-minute rush and ensure smooth arrangements for security, medical aid, and accommodation during the Yatra.
