The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has filed a police complaint after its Post-Result Services Portal faced repeated cyberattacks, raising concerns over attempts to disrupt student services.
Officials confirmed that the attacks targeted the portal used for verification of marks, obtaining scanned copies of answer books, and re-evaluation requests, but assured that no student data was compromised.
CBSE stated that the complaint was lodged to ensure accountability and to strengthen cyber security measures around its digital platforms.
The board emphasized that despite the attempted breaches, services for students remain operational and additional safeguards are being deployed to prevent further disruptions.
This move comes amid heightened scrutiny of CBSE’s digital evaluation systems, following recent controversies around the On-Screen Marking process and post-result grievance mechanisms.
