A major security incident was reported at Chanderkote Naka in Ramban district on Thursday evening when unidentified persons fired upon a Scorpio vehicle. The occupants of the vehicle managed to flee the spot immediately after the firing, leaving behind panic and tension in the area.
According to initial reports, security forces stationed at the naka signaled the vehicle to stop for checking. Instead of complying, the occupants allegedly opened fire and sped away, abandoning the vehicle a short distance away. No casualties were reported in the exchange.
Police and security agencies swiftly cordoned off the area and launched a search operation to trace the suspects. The abandoned Scorpio has been seized for forensic examination, and investigators are working to establish the identity of the occupants and their possible motives.
