New Delhi, August 25: Union Home Minister Amit Shah has directed security and intelligence agencies to intensify efforts to prevent infiltration and strengthen the country’s response to emerging national security challenges.
During a high-level security review, Shah stressed the need for stronger coordination among central and state agencies and called for the use of advanced technologies, including Artificial Intelligence (AI), to identify and counter evolving security threats.
The Home Minister emphasised the importance of strengthening surveillance and intelligence capabilities along vulnerable areas to detect infiltration attempts at an early stage.
He also directed agencies to make greater use of modern technological tools for analysing information, identifying suspicious activities and improving the speed and accuracy of security responses.
Shah underlined the need for continuous coordination between security agencies so that emerging threats can be identified and addressed promptly.
The directions come amid growing focus on strengthening India’s internal security architecture and ensuring that technology and intelligence capabilities keep pace with changing methods used by elements posing threats to national security.
