NITI Aayog has released four comprehensive study reports focusing on ‘Scenarios Towards Viksit Bharat’ and India’s journey to achieving Net Zero. The reports were unveiled as part of the government’s long-term vision to strengthen policy planning and guide India’s developmental trajectory.
Officials stated that the studies provide detailed insights into possible pathways for India’s economic growth, social development, and environmental sustainability. They highlight strategies for balancing rapid industrialisation with climate commitments, ensuring that India remains on track to meet its Net Zero targets.
The reports also examine sectoral transformations required in energy, transport, agriculture, and manufacturing, while emphasizing the importance of innovation, technology adoption, and inclusive growth. They underline the need for coordinated efforts across government, industry, and civil society to achieve the vision of Viksit Bharat by 2047.
NITI Aayog emphasized that these studies will serve as a roadmap for policymakers, offering evidence-based scenarios to guide decision-making and align national priorities with global sustainability goals.
