Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta attended several religious ceremonies across the city on Sunday, emphasizing that such events foster unity, harmony, and spiritual awareness in society.
While underscoring the significance of Sanatan Dharma in India’s cultural heritage, Gupta noted that development and progress remain equally vital for the nation’s growth.
In a statement, the Chief Minister said she prayed for peace, prosperity, and well-being for the people of Delhi. She added that cultural and religious programmes help strengthen societal bonds while preserving the city’s spiritual and cultural identity.
Gupta urged citizens to follow the path of devotion and righteousness and to promote love, service, and dedication within their communities.
Among the key events she attended were the Shrimad Bhagwat Katha Gyan Yagya and Kalash Yatra at Janmashtami Park in Punjabi Bagh, the Tulsi Vivah ceremony in Shalimar Bagh, and the Shyam Baba Janmotsav and Ekadashi Udyapan in Pitampura.
