Panaji, November 7, 2025 — Union Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Dr. L. Murugan said that the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) 2025, to be held in Goa, will act as a global bridge for filmmakers, storytellers, and content creators from around the world.
Speaking at a curtain-raiser event, Dr. Murugan emphasized that IFFI has evolved into a premier cultural platform that fosters international collaboration, showcases cinematic excellence, and celebrates the diversity of global storytelling. He noted that the 2025 edition will feature a dynamic mix of screenings, masterclasses, and co-production forums aimed at strengthening India’s position as a creative hub.
The Minister highlighted the government’s commitment to supporting the film industry through policy reforms, incentives, and infrastructure development. He invited global creators to explore India’s vibrant storytelling traditions and contribute to the country’s growing media and entertainment ecosystem.
IFFI 2025 is expected to draw participation from over 75 countries, with special focus on emerging voices, regional cinema, and digital innovation in filmmaking.
