Srinagar, November 21 — Jammu and Kashmir is set to host the 17th Annual Adventure Convention of the Adventure Tour Operators Association of India (ATOAI), bringing together leading stakeholders from the adventure tourism sector. The convention will highlight the Union Territory’s vast potential for adventure activities and its growing appeal as a premier destination.
Officials said the event will feature discussions, workshops, and field activities showcasing J&K’s diverse offerings, including trekking, skiing, rafting, mountaineering, and eco-tourism. Delegates from across India and abroad are expected to participate, making the convention a landmark gathering for the industry.
The curtain raiser emphasised that the convention aims to promote sustainable adventure tourism, strengthen safety standards, and create new opportunities for local communities. Organisers noted that the event will also serve as a platform to announce new initiatives and collaborations in the sector.
