Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari, accompanied by Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel and senior officials of the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI), reviewed the progress of the National Highway 48 project near Himmatnagar in Sabarkantha district.
The inspection focused on the Motipura flyover and an underpass on the Shamlaji–Chiloda section of NH 48, which connects Gujarat with Rajasthan. Officials informed the Minister that all major structures have been completed except three overbridges, which are scheduled for completion by March 2026.
During the visit, Gadkari emphasized the importance of timely completion and adherence to quality standards. Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel assured the Union Minister of the Gujarat government’s full cooperation in expediting central projects.
Gadkari is also scheduled to visit Surat and Navsari districts to review ongoing highway works being carried out by NHAI in south Gujarat.
The review underlines the government’s commitment to strengthening road infrastructure and ensuring efficient connectivity across the state.
