New Delhi, Dec 02: Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Monday said that Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel continues to be an enduring inspiration for every political leader in the country, calling him a symbol of integrity, courage, and uncompromising national interest. He noted that Patel’s role in unifying India after Independence remains unmatched in modern history.
Speaking at an event held to commemorate the Iron Man of India, Rajnath Singh said Sardar Patel’s leadership, decisiveness, and ability to bring more than 500 princely states into the Indian Union serve as guiding principles for today’s political leadership. He added that Patel’s legacy stands as a reminder of how strong political will and clarity of purpose can shape a nation’s destiny.
The Defence Minister further highlighted that Patel’s vision of a united, secure, and prosperous India continues to resonate in the country’s governance framework. He said that policymakers and political workers across party lines draw lessons from Patel’s administrative acumen and commitment to national unity.
Rajnath Singh emphasised that honouring Sardar Patel also means upholding his ideals—strengthening national integration, safeguarding territorial integrity, and maintaining the spirit of cooperative federalism. He urged citizens and leaders alike to emulate Patel’s dedication to duty and nation-building.
