New Delhi, December 30, 2025: Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has stated that the Viksit Bharat – G RAM G Bill addresses and removes the shortcomings of the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA). The announcement highlights the government’s efforts to strengthen rural employment schemes and enhance livelihood opportunities across the country.
According to the Minister, the new framework under the G RAM G Bill is designed to provide more targeted support, improve transparency, and ensure efficient implementation of rural development programmes.
