The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Rashtriya Raksha University (RRU) to strengthen collaboration in the fields of defence technology and internal security. The agreement was formalized during a ceremony held at RRU’s campus, with senior officials from both institutions present.
Under the MoU, DRDO and RRU will jointly undertake research, training, and capacity-building initiatives aimed at enhancing national security preparedness. The partnership will focus on advanced technologies, cybersecurity, counter-terrorism strategies, and innovations in defence systems to support the armed forces and law enforcement agencies.
Officials stated that the collaboration will also provide opportunities for students and researchers at RRU to engage in cutting-edge projects, internships, and skill development programs in defence and security domains. The initiative is expected to foster innovation and create a pool of trained professionals equipped to meet emerging challenges.
DRDO emphasized that the MoU reflects its commitment to building strong academic and research linkages with premier institutions, while RRU highlighted its role as a national university dedicated to security studies and applied research. Both organizations reiterated their resolve to contribute to India’s strategic capabilities and internal security framework.
