The Central Information Commission (CIC) has directed the Delhi Government to address gaps in the Ladli scheme, particularly those related to claim updates and technical glitches affecting beneficiaries.
The CIC noted that several applicants have faced delays and difficulties in accessing benefits due to outdated claim records and recurring issues with the online system. It stressed that such lapses undermine the purpose of the scheme, which is aimed at supporting the education and welfare of girl children.
Officials observed that incomplete updates and technical errors have led to confusion among beneficiaries, with some unable to track or receive their entitled assistance. The commission urged the government to streamline processes and ensure transparency in claim management.
The CIC emphasized that timely resolution of these issues is essential to maintain public trust and ensure that the Ladli scheme reaches its intended beneficiaries without disruption.
The directive comes as part of the commission’s broader effort to strengthen accountability in welfare programs and safeguard the rights of citizens to access information and benefits effectively.
