New Delhi, November 5, 2025 — India’s cooperative giants, the Indian Farmers Fertiliser Cooperative Limited (IFFCO) and Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation (Amul), have been ranked among the top cooperatives globally in the latest International Cooperative Alliance (ICA) Global Rankings.
The ICA’s 2025 World Cooperative Monitor highlights IFFCO and Amul for their outstanding performance, scale, and contribution to cooperative development, placing them among the world’s most influential member-owned enterprises.
IFFCO, a multi-state cooperative society engaged in fertilizer production and distribution, has consistently featured in the top tier for its farmer-centric model and sustainable practices. Amul, India’s largest dairy cooperative, was recognized for its robust supply chain, grassroots empowerment, and global brand presence.
Union Minister of Cooperation Amit Shah congratulated both organizations, stating that their global recognition reflects the strength of India’s cooperative movement and its role in inclusive economic growth.
The ICA rankings assess cooperatives based on turnover, membership, and impact, offering a benchmark for excellence in cooperative governance and innovation worldwide.
