India has called for immediate de-escalation of tensions through dialogue and diplomacy amid the worsening situation in the Middle East. The Ministry of External Affairs said New Delhi is closely monitoring the developments and emphasised that further escalation would not be in the interest of regional peace and stability.
India urged all parties involved to exercise restraint and prioritise diplomatic channels to resolve differences, reiterating its consistent position that conflicts should be addressed through peaceful means. The government also stressed the importance of protecting civilian lives and maintaining international law.
The statement comes as global concern grows over rising hostilities in the region, with several countries appealing for calm and renewed diplomatic engagement to prevent the situation from spiralling into a wider conflict.
