Rajouri, March 12: Security forces foiled a major infiltration attempt along the Line of Control (LoC) in Rajouri district today, killing a terrorist identified as a Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) operative. Officials confirmed that the militant was attempting to cross into Indian territory when troops engaged him in a brief exchange of fire.
The infiltration bid was detected by vigilant troops deployed along the LoC, who swiftly responded to the movement. The terrorist was neutralized before he could breach the border, preventing a potential threat to civilian areas and security installations.
Authorities stated that the slain militant has been identified as a member of the Pakistan-based terror outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba. Arms and ammunition were recovered from the site, indicating plans for a possible attack inside Jammu and Kashmir.
