External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar met Finnish Foreign Minister Elina Valtonen in Helsinki, where both leaders discussed strengthening cooperation in advanced technologies including artificial intelligence, 6G, and semiconductors.
The talks also covered critical minerals, quantum technologies, clean energy, and space collaboration, reflecting the growing India–Finland strategic partnership. Both sides emphasized expanding trade and investment while sustaining political momentum.
Jaishankar highlighted India’s interest in leveraging Finland’s expertise in digital innovation and sustainability, while Valtonen underscored Finland’s commitment to deepening ties with India in emerging technology sectors.
The meeting builds on earlier engagements between the two nations, including Finland’s role in the India–EU Free Trade Agreement and joint initiatives in startups and digitalisation.
