An Indian-flagged vessel carrying 15,400 tonnes of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) has arrived at the Jawaharlal Nehru Port Authority (JNPA) in Mumbai, marking a significant boost to the country’s energy supply chain. The consignment is part of ongoing efforts to strengthen domestic fuel availability and ensure steady distribution across regions.
Officials at JNPA confirmed that the vessel’s arrival underscores India’s growing capacity to handle large-scale energy imports through its major ports. The LPG cargo will be offloaded and transported to storage and distribution facilities, supporting both household and industrial demand.
