Kupwara, November 2, 2025 — Security forces apprehended a man identified as Tanveer Ahmad from Kralpora, Kupwara, near a petrol pump where a Chinese grenade and a mobile phone were recovered from his possession.
The operation was carried out jointly by Kupwara Police, the 3 Naga Regiment of the Indian Army, and the 98 Battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), following specific intelligence inputs.
Authorities confirmed that a case has been registered against the individual and further investigation is currently underway to determine the motive and possible affiliations.
Security has been heightened in the area, and officials have urged the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity.
