Lucknow, Jun 23: President Droupadi Murmu, Vice President C. P. Radhakrishnan, and Prime Minister Narendra Modi have expressed deep grief over the tragic loss of lives in the recent fire incident in Lucknow.
In her message, President Murmu conveyed heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and prayed for the speedy recovery of those injured. She said the tragedy was a reminder of the urgent need for strict adherence to safety norms.
Vice President Radhakrishnan described the incident as deeply saddening and extended sympathies to the families affected. He emphasized that such tragedies must be prevented through collective responsibility and vigilance.
Prime Minister Modi expressed anguish over the loss of lives and assured that the Uttar Pradesh government is taking all necessary measures to provide relief and assistance. He said, “My thoughts are with the families of those who lost their lives. Prayers for the injured.”
The leaders reiterated the importance of ensuring public safety and called for accountability in preventing recurrence of such incidents.
Meanwhile, the Uttar Pradesh government has suspended four officials and arrested four accused in connection with the fire, underscoring its commitment to fixing responsibility and enforcing safety compliance.
