Defence Minister Rajnath Singh held a bilateral meeting with South Korean Defence Minister in Seoul today, focusing on strengthening strategic and defence cooperation between India and South Korea.
The discussions covered defence production, technology collaboration, maritime security, and regional stability, with both sides reaffirming their commitment to deepen military ties and enhance interoperability.
Singh highlighted India’s push for self-reliance in defence manufacturing under the ‘Make in India’ initiative, inviting South Korean companies to partner in joint production and innovation.
The meeting also addressed evolving security challenges in the Indo-Pacific region, emphasizing the importance of cooperation in maintaining peace, stability, and freedom of navigation.
Both ministers agreed to expand defence exchanges, training programs, and joint exercises, underscoring the growing partnership between New Delhi and Seoul in the strategic domain.
