Punjab Police have arrested shooters wanted in connection with recent criminal cases from Patnitop, Jammu & Kashmir, in a coordinated operation with local law enforcement agencies.
Officials stated that the accused were absconding after being linked to targeted killings and gang-related violence in Punjab. Intelligence inputs led to their location being traced to Patnitop, a popular hill station in Udhampur district.
The arrests mark a significant breakthrough in Punjab Police’s ongoing crackdown on organized crime and gang networks, which have increasingly operated across state borders.
Authorities recovered incriminating evidence during the operation, and further investigations are underway to establish the shooters’ connections with larger syndicates and handlers.
Police emphasized that the arrests send a strong message against cross-border criminal activity and highlight the importance of inter-state cooperation in tackling organized crime.
