Chandigarh, November 12, 2025: Schools across Punjab today organized special assemblies to mark the 350th martyrdom anniversary of Guru Tegh Bahadur, the ninth Sikh Guru, revered for his supreme sacrifice in defending the right to religious freedom. The commemorations highlighted his enduring legacy of courage, compassion, and commitment to humanity.
Students and teachers participated in prayer sessions, kirtans, and recitations of Guru Tegh Bahadur’s teachings. Cultural programs, including plays and poetry, were staged to depict his life and sacrifice. Educational institutions emphasized the Guru’s message of unity, tolerance, and moral strength, inspiring young minds to uphold these values in contemporary society.
Addressing the assemblies, school principals and education officials underscored the importance of remembering Guru Tegh Bahadur’s martyrdom as a cornerstone of India’s spiritual and cultural heritage. They noted that his sacrifice continues to serve as a guiding light for generations, reminding citizens of the need to protect justice and uphold human dignity.
