Heavy snowfall in Jammu and Kashmir has forced the closure of the Srinagar–Jammu National Highway, leaving hundreds of vehicles stranded in Udhampur district. Authorities confirmed that traffic movement was suspended after snow accumulation and slippery conditions made the highway unsafe for travel.
Officials stated that road clearance operations are underway, but continuous snowfall and poor visibility have hampered efforts. Stranded vehicles include passenger buses, trucks carrying essential supplies, and private cars, causing significant inconvenience to travelers and disruption in the movement of goods.
