New Delhi, November 5, 2025 — Union Minister Kiren Rijiju has strongly criticized Congress leader Rahul Gandhi over his recent allegations of ‘vote theft’, calling the remarks baseless and misleading.
Responding to Gandhi’s claims made during a public rally, Rijiju stated that such accusations undermine the credibility of India’s democratic institutions and the Election Commission. He urged opposition leaders to refrain from making inflammatory statements without evidence.
“The people of India are the true custodians of democracy. Casting doubt on their mandate is both irresponsible and disrespectful,” Rijiju said, adding that the electoral process in India is transparent and robust.
Rahul Gandhi had alleged irregularities in the voting process during recent elections, prompting reactions from several BJP leaders who defended the integrity of the system and accused the Congress of deflecting from its own political setbacks.
