Ranchi, December 25, 2025: Vaibhav Suryavanshi, a 14-year-old cricketer from Bihar, has created history by breaking AB de Villiers’ world record for the fastest 150 in men’s List A cricket. He achieved the milestone in just 59 balls during a Vijay Hazare Trophy Plate League match against Arunachal Pradesh at the JSCA Oval Ground.
Suryavanshi’s blistering innings of 190 runs off 84 balls included 15 sixes and 16 fours. He reached his century in only 36 balls, the second-fastest by an Indian in List A cricket, before racing to 150 in 59 balls, surpassing AB de Villiers’ previous record of 64 balls set in 2015 against West Indies.
The young batter’s performance has drawn widespread attention, not only for its record-breaking feat but also for his age, making him one of the youngest players to achieve such a milestone in senior-level cricket. His aggressive stroke play and composure have been hailed as signs of a prodigious talent emerging in Indian cricket.
