India and the United Arab Emirates have jointly condemned terrorism in all its forms and manifestations, reaffirming their commitment to global peace and security. The strong message was delivered during high-level talks in New Delhi between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
Both leaders emphasized that terrorism poses a grave threat to international stability and must be countered through collective action. They reiterated their resolve to strengthen cooperation in intelligence sharing, maritime security, and counter-terrorism initiatives.
In addition to security cooperation, India and the UAE pledged to double bilateral trade by 2032, building on the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA). Officials highlighted that trade between the two nations has already crossed $100 billion annually, with significant growth expected in sectors such as energy, technology, infrastructure, and renewable resources.
The leaders underscored the importance of the Indian diaspora in the UAE, noting that over 4 million Indians contribute to the country’s economy and cultural fabric. They agreed to expand collaboration in education, healthcare, and innovation, aligning with the shared vision of sustainable development.
The visit marked a significant step in advancing the India-UAE strategic partnership, combining efforts to combat terrorism with ambitious economic goals that will shape the future of bilateral relations.
