A Delhi court has granted the National Investigation Agency (NIA) 10 days’ custody of Amir Rashid Ali in connection with the recent car blast case. The order was issued on November 17, 2025, following the agency’s request for custodial interrogation to probe suspected links to a wider terror network.
Ali, who was arrested earlier this week, is alleged to have played a role in facilitating the blast near Red Fort that claimed multiple lives. The NIA argued that custodial questioning is essential to uncover the conspiracy, identify associates, and trace funding channels behind the attack.
The case has drawn national attention, with investigators focusing on possible connections to a “white collar terror module.” The court’s decision underscores the seriousness of the probe and the urgency to gather evidence in the high-profile investigation.
