The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has reported an 8.47% year-on-year increase in Aadhaar authentication transactions, recording a total of 231 crore authentications in the month of November. Officials noted that the rise reflects the growing adoption of Aadhaar-based services across sectors, including banking, telecom, welfare schemes, and digital payments.
According to UIDAI, biometric, OTP-based, and demographic authentications all saw steady growth, indicating widespread use by both individuals and service providers. The authority highlighted that Aadhaar continues to play a key role in promoting ease of living, enabling efficient delivery of government benefits, and supporting secure digital transactions.
UIDAI added that continuous improvements in system reliability, security features, and user convenience are contributing to the increasing usage of Aadhaar authentication nationwide.
