Patna, November 4, 2025 — Campaigning for the first phase of the Bihar Assembly Elections officially ended this evening, bringing to a close weeks of intense political activity across the state. With polling scheduled for November 6, preparations are underway to ensure smooth and secure voting in 121 constituencies.
Major political parties, including the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), and Congress, held final rallies and outreach events in key districts. Leaders made last-minute appeals to voters, highlighting development agendas, welfare schemes, and regional priorities.
The Election Commission of India has confirmed that all logistical arrangements are in place, including deployment of security personnel, polling staff, and electronic voting machines. Voter awareness programs have also been conducted to encourage participation.
This phase of the election covers 18 districts and will see over 3.75 crore eligible voters casting their ballots. The second phase of polling is scheduled for November 11, with counting to take place on November 14.
