Srinagar, Nov 19: Chief Minister today sought detailed explanations from security agencies regarding the recent blast at Nowgam, calling for strict accountability and immediate corrective measures. Chairing a high-level review meeting, the CM expressed concern over lapses that led to the incident and directed officials to ensure that responsibility is fixed at every level.
The Chief Minister emphasized that public safety cannot be compromised and urged security forces to strengthen coordination and intelligence-sharing mechanisms. He stated that incidents of this nature erode public confidence and must be addressed with transparency and urgency.
Officials briefed the CM on preliminary findings and ongoing investigations. The Chief Minister instructed that a comprehensive report be submitted at the earliest, identifying gaps in security arrangements and recommending measures to prevent recurrence.
Reiterating the government’s commitment to safeguarding citizens, the CM stressed that accountability is essential to maintain trust and ensure effective governance.
