A tragic accident occurred in Maharashtra’s Thane district on Monday, April 13, 2026, when a van collided head-on with a cement mixer on the Raita bridge near Govili village in Murbad.
Police officials confirmed that at least 11 people were killed in the collision, while several others sustained injuries. The accident took place around 11:30 am on the busy Kalyan–Murbad National Highway 61.
